Hey Reader, You hit the right fret. Yet when you listen back, your bends sound a little sour. This is another common habit I see: Bending without a clear target in your ear. Finger strength is not the main problem. Here is a quick bend check you can run this week.
If you have a drone or simple backing track in that key, turn it on. Three to five minutes a day on this tiny area, all week, will clean up more than you expect. Your goal is simple: You hit the bend. I recorded a short Bend Check demo where I walk through this idea on the neck so you can hear what “in” and “out” sound like in real time: Cleaning up bends like this does more for your confidence than any new scale pattern. In sessions we slow things down, use drones, and train your ear and hands to agree. If you want help turning this kind of detail work into a simple plan for the new year, you can book a free New Year Playing Plan session here: We will look at your timing, bends, and one other weak spot, then build one practice path that fits your life. Current students: you do not need to book one of these. We will map your New Year plan together in your regular lessons. Talk soon, |
